More from Davis Memorial

One of the reasons that people flock to Davis Memorial is for the rock formations and the foliage. As I shared yesterday, the spring flowers where starting to bloom but had not quite reached their peak. Nevertheless, it was a gorgeous day in the preserve and I was able to see several plants in bloom and I got a good feel of what was to bloom in a few days or a week from now.

Please note, this is why we do not break trail. Many rare and unusual plants are just below the surface and you can kill them when you break trail. I will admit I wish I could take a few steps off trial to get better photos at times, but it's not worth it.
